Editor's Duties

Editors of the International Journal of Modern Artificial Hybrid Intelligence: Advanced Learning Innovations (IJMAHI), published by AI Research Publishing, are entrusted with ensuring the academic quality, fairness, and ethical integrity of the editorial process. These duties are aligned with COPE guidelines and international editorial standards.

1. Editorial Decision-Making

  • Editors are responsible for making impartial, merit-based decisions regarding acceptance or rejection of manuscripts.
  • All decisions are guided by the scholarly value of the work and its relevance to the journal’s scope.
  • Decisions must not be influenced by authors' nationality, institution, race, gender, or political beliefs.

2. Peer Review Oversight

  • Editors must ensure a transparent, double-blind peer review process.
  • Manuscripts are assigned to qualified, independent reviewers with no conflict of interest.
  • Editors monitor the timeliness and quality of the review process and communicate efficiently with authors and reviewers.

3. Confidentiality

  • Editors must maintain strict confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and related communications.
  • No manuscript content or reviewer information shall be shared outside the editorial process without permission.

4. Handling Ethical Complaints

  • Editors must investigate any reported ethical concerns or misconduct, including plagiarism, falsification, or authorship disputes.
  • They should follow COPE’s flowcharts in resolving conflicts and issuing corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions.

5. Conflict of Interest

  • Editors must recuse themselves from handling any manuscript in which they have a personal, academic, or financial conflict of interest.
  • All conflicts must be declared and transparently managed.

6. Quality and Integrity of the Journal

  • Editors are responsible for ensuring that published content meets the journal’s quality standards and ethical policies.
  • They must promote the continuous improvement of the journal’s editorial process and visibility.

7. Editorial Independence

  • The editorial team operates independently of the publisher’s commercial interests.
  • All editorial policies and decisions are governed by academic standards and ethical obligations.
