Plagiarism Policy
The International Journal of Modern Artificial Hybrid Intelligence: Advanced Learning Innovations (IJMAHI), published by AI Research Publishing, is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publication. We consider plagiarism a serious violation of publication ethics.
Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism is the act of using someone else's words, ideas, data, figures, or other intellectual property without proper citation or acknowledgment. This includes:
- Copying text or ideas from other sources without attribution
- Paraphrasing substantial portions of another’s work without proper citation
- Submitting previously published work as new (self-plagiarism or duplicate publication)
- Using AI-generated content without appropriate disclosure
Similarity Check and Screening
All submitted manuscripts are screened for similarity using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin, iThenticate, or equivalent tools before peer review. The editorial office checks for:
- Overall similarity index (must be below 15–20% for most submissions)
- No more than 2–3% from a single source
- No unreferenced copying from theses, conference papers, or online content
Handling Detected Plagiarism
If plagiarism is detected at any stage—before or after publication—the manuscript may be rejected or retracted, and the authors may face further actions. Steps may include:
- Immediate rejection or withdrawal of the manuscript
- Official notification to the author’s institution
- Blacklist of the author for future submissions
Self-Plagiarism
Authors must not reuse substantial parts of their previously published work without proper referencing or justification. Republishing the same data or findings in multiple outlets is considered unethical and may be grounds for rejection.
AI Tools and Generated Content
Authors using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, CodeX, Midjourney) must explicitly acknowledge their use in the Methods or Acknowledgments section. Undisclosed AI-generated text or images may be treated as academic misconduct.
Author Responsibility
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring all authors are aware of and comply with the plagiarism policy. Submitting a manuscript implies acceptance of this policy.
